| The most critical, or sensitive, developmental period in a dog’s life is from 2 ½ weeks to approximately 3 months of age. What your puppy is not exposed to at this time may cause him to become fearful of. Fearful puppies often turn out to be stressed out adult dogs (which may include dogs who bark excessively, pace, whine, growl, snap, or bite, etc. Studies have shown that more dogs die from lack of early, proper socialization (dogs that bite don’t get to live very long) than die of potentially contagious diseases. |
