| Not in my program. I haven’t used a choke chain to train dogs or puppies in 20 years. Consider this:
How do you think Shamu the whale was trained to do the remarkable things she can do? (Hint: It was NOT through the use of choke chains, prong collars, shock collars, or force).
When dogs are trained with the emphasis on its leash to push, pull or force it into position, or to ‘make it behave‘, how do you think the dog will respond when there is no leash attached?
My goal is to teach people how to train their dog to voice and hand signals, using the leash as a safety precaution. I also want your relationship to be better after training your dog, which is why I prefer to use more positive techniques
